...
Perhaps all fields are battlefields,
those we remember and those that are forgotten:
the birch forests and the cedar forests,
the snow and the sand, the iridescent swamps
and the canyons of black defeat
...
What moral flows from this? Probably none.
Only the blood flows, drying quickly,
and, as always, a few rivers, a few clouds.

Oh GET OUT! (pushing you against a wall) THIS is really redonkulous. Is this even real? Because I might have to gouge my own eyes out after having seen The Cutest Thing Known to Man.

High-Beady-Eye-Factor*, cancelled out by roundness and paws up! um whasa the opposite of beady eyes?
a "conversation" of sorts, lead by a gerbil-like thing. What could he possibly be saying to the others? "I'm the cutest, but my beady eyes are a drawback in this contest?" I think maybe I like beady eyes.

and! adorable dog that looks like a panda he's a chow, right? but: He was probably perfectly cute with his original coloring. People just suck sometimes. // I hope : There are dyes out there that are not harmful to animals. I just saw an orange poodle at work a couple of weeks ago. Fur dyeing is a service that some pet grooming salons are offering now a days.
I guess I'd better vote for cuteoverload on bloggies. why am I putting the phots above here, all straight from there? ~ my way of interacting with the pictures ~ responding to them ~ Cute O is like, totally nominated for 4 Bloggie awards! chinchilla
Chinchillas were originally found on the slopes of the Andes in South America. They were named after the Chincha tribe who hunted them for their exquisite fur and for their meat. Their fur eventually became the royal clothing of the ancient Incas, and commoners were forbidden to wear it. The name "chinchilla" was not given to the animals until the Spaniards came and discovered the animals that the Chinchas had so prized.

What is a chinchilla?
...Over the past couple of years or so debate has begun to emerge on whether or not members of the caviomorph sub order or rodentia are really rodents or not. Genetic testing has begun to indicate that they may indeed not be rodents at all. There are some people that think that they should be classified along with rabbits and hares. However due to differences between them and lagomorphs (the scientific name for rabbit order) many have proposes making a new order of animals, called caviomorphia for caviomorph animals such as chinchillas , guinea pigs , degus etc.
Chinchillas are nocturnal... [but] are very intelligent and can and will adapt their sleeping patterns to you. When you are away they sleep and when you get home they always seem to wake up at that time as they want to play. They love running around and playing and hopping just about anywhere.
The chinchilla pictures page contains an image of almost every kind of chinchilla.
Chinchillas make a variety of sounds depending on their moods. Go over to the sounds page to download a file with 3 different ones. The first one babies.wav is the sound babies make when happy. The second madbaby.wav is the sound they make when annoyed. The third one playful.wav is of a playful adult who wants attention.

cow gets to live
Del Morris, manager of Mickey's Packing Plant in Great Falls, said he decided to let the cow live the instant he saw it cross the Missouri River through Great Falls.
Town residents will now decide through a telephone poll whether the cow will remain a resident of Montana, where it will live out its life on pastureland surrounding the packing plant, or be shipped to an animal sanctuary in Seattle.
Morris said the heifer he calls Molly and her escape effort attained celebrity status with television and news organizations requesting interviews and calls pouring in from across the country and overseas.
"I've been around cattle all my life and it's just totally amazing," Morris said, adding that it is a rare cow that escapes slaughter. "I watched her do things that are just not possible for a cow."

..Brian: So what do you think? Me: You had me at Maro.
..Some of you might be asking why Maro? How does one make a cycle of Maros..? ...the ever-shifting quality of the Maros...Such is the case with Kagemaro, First to Suffer (the black Maro). Yes, this is today's preview card. (I'm almost there.) Called Blaro in design, short for Black Maro (along with Waro, Uaro, Raro and Graro), Kagemaro was designed as a Maro with one simple twist. When he wasn't helping you beat down your opponent, he could help handle crowd control. (You know, kind of like a bouncer.)
One last quick aside before I show you the card. The development team (once again, with no prompting from me) wanted all the cards to reference the original Maro. They couldn't be creature type Maro and they needed to be spirits for story sake. (Oh yeah, and Maro isn't a Maro; it's an elemental formerly a nature spirit). And they couldn't be called Maro because they weren't actually Maros (living embodiments of a forest's essence). What if the word “maro” was worked into the name of each card? It had a nice Japanese feel. (It turns out that it was used as a modifier for names in Japan in the eleventh and twelfth centuries to imply nobility.)
..may you have positive associations with the name Maro.
